If you are planning a short notice; intimate and no fuss wedding, then an Elopement Style Ceremony could be just what you are looking for. This is especially appealing to couples coming in from overseas to tie the knot.

This low-cost ceremony will still reflect you as a couple but not entail the extra added pressure of you having to advise your preferences and make decisions at each stage of your script’s construction.

I will meet you at your desired ceremony location where we will complete the formalities in an intimate setting. This is perfect for couples who do not require ‘bells and whistles’ and who wish to share their nuptials exclusively with their very closest friends and family, or just each other, if travelling from out of town. In sticking to a Registry / Elopement Style, your guest amount must be less than 12 people (aged 16+).

THE PROCESS:

I welcome you to engage with me in a meet & greet via Skype or at my home office.

At this meeting we will have the opportunity to get to know each other (I will have a series of questions to ask you about yourselves) and you can ask me any questions.

If you’d like to continue with this nature of ceremony, please confirm with me in writing (email, Facebook or text message).

I will take what I have learned from & about you, apply it to a set script and surprise you with its content on your big day.

THE CEREMONY SCRIPT:

The brief but intimate ceremony will consist of the basic aspects of a traditional wedding ceremony.

–  Introduction
–  Declaration of Intent (the “I Do”)
–  Vows
–  Rings Ceremony
–  [non-religious] Blessing of the Marriage
–  Pronouncement & Kiss
–  Signing of the Wedding Document
–  Presentation of the Married Couple

COST:

I will match Births, Deaths and Marriages Registry Office fee of $240.00 (as at 22 May 2017) + travel at $0.80c per kilometre traveled, as per Google Maps.

EXTRA CHARGES:


Additions to the script                                                                                          $15 per addition
Such as acknowledgments, sand ceremony, reading. Maximum word count: 100 words.

Witnesses                                                                                                             $50 per witness
I can provide witnesses, should you need them.

Business Day Fee                                                                                                 $45 flat rate
Applies to weddings taking place Monday to Friday.

BOOKINGS:

Bookings will not be taken any more than 3 months in advance of your wedding date and are subject to availability.

Weddings can take place any time from 11am and your date is subject to availability. There will be a charge for Registry / Elopement style Ceremonies taking place on a week day.

PAYMENT:


Deposit is not necessary. Payment will be due, in full on the day. This is payable via bank deposit, cash or PayPal (there is a 10% processing fee if you opt for PayPal). Please confirm at least 3 days before your big day as to which option you would like to go with.

To qualify for this nature of ceremony you must:
–  Be getting married within 3 months of making your query
–  Have a guest list of 12 or less people aged 16+
–  You do not get an opportunity to personalise the Ceremony Script
–  You will be responsible for ordering the Marriage Certificate and Apostille (if applicable)

OUT OF TOWN/OVERSEAS COUPLES:


I am very happy to make recommendations on vendors, should you find yourself struggling to find a photographer; restaurant; caterer or venue.

If planning your vendors seems too daunting from so far away, please allow me to plan the entire elopement and book your photographer, venue, small cake and snacks. I will liaise with my team and get back to you with a quote.
This will entail a service fee of $300 on top of my ceremony + travel fee.

I am also very happy to provide guidance on how to order your post-Ceremony documents. You will be responsible for ordering the documents (your payment details will need to be on the order forms) however I am happy to be the middle man between you and the NZ government.
